In the Book of Revelation Chapter 7, John describes the 144,000 “Sealed of Israel”, 12,000 each from the following tribes. Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin.
Then John describes a great multitude of which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.
The chapter concludes with the promise that God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
NOTE: The tribe of Dan was omitted, possibly because they failed to conquer their allotted land and/or organized idolatry. Despite being left out of the 144,000 in Revelation 7, the Bible suggests the tribe is not permanently rejected. In Ezekiel 48, a vision of the future Millennial Kingdom shows the tribe of Dan receiving a portion of the land and having a gate named after them in the New Jerusalem.
